Prime is an inward facing camera company. MuthaTrucker even featured a case of misuse with said camera.

They've been sitting on my "never" list since.

I have heard soooo many horror stories about Prime’s lease-purchase program. The company allegedly takes their percentage right off the top, just like others. However, Prime is known for cheap freight; so cheap that the driver actually cannot cover their operating costs as Prime still gets their profit. I have also heard stories of Prime suddenly cutting loads to a driver just before the driver finishes paying off the truck, causing the driver to default on their lease. The worst stories I heard of is Prime pressuring drivers into a lease contract and not allowing the driver to read the contract or provide the driver with a copy of the contract. These are only stories that I have heard, but I have heard the same things from multiple sources.

Lease to purchase is cool if you know what you’re doing what I hate about these mega carriers is that they push those contracts on literally anyone and if you don’t know what you’re doing you can put yourself in the hole real fast

You can't afford to go home because your lease payments don't stop just because you go home. If you take 2 weeks off then when you return you will still owe that money and maybe negative for the first week

They don’t do the lightweight for company anymore. They give you a choice

I started in 2017 as a company driver with Prime Inc., had the choice of fullsize or lightweight truck to start out. The only difference was pay per mile, started at $0.52/mi in the lightweight, and $0.49/mi in the full size. They do push team hard but I did not feel any pressure to do lease at all. It seemed like lease or owner operator had the huge benefit of better pay, but I stayed company and I enjoyed it. I had home time available once a month up to one day per week out, and no more than 4 days home at a time. My fleet manager was easy to work with to work out the home time and locations for them. Spent a few "home times" as mini vacations around the country, Denver, Seattle, Buffalo, Springfield, and my actual home often. My FIL and BIL both did lease and made plenty of money and did well for many years.

If you’re a single guy, Prime is a good company. I made good money there. However, I have a family and had to move on to see my family.

Prime has been a great company but now they are putting inward facing cameras and I am currently looking into law firms to come after them for invasion of privacy. Swift was taken down and soon Prime will be too

I worked for prime for about 2 years and still here, and they honestly treat me pretty well but I’m not happy about the company getting inward facing cameras 🤷‍♂️

CFI was a was good company to work for although they were bought out by other companies. Never had any problems working with them "for the most part". They had really nice tractors as well.

I’m long done doing reefer ever again. Don’t want to have to wake up in the middle of the night and break my time in the sleeper to deal with an alarm on the reefer because the cooling unit had a failure!

I'm a prime inc company driver and I have a full size truck. I was pushing to be a lease driver but I had my cdl a for many years so I got to do what I wanted they make you buy chains and load locks as well as anything you want inside the truck. I can only get hame 2 days a month!!! That's what you get as a co driver at prime!!! The pay is .50 a mile.

Prime charges like $925/week for 4 years with a balloon payment at end of the lease. This was what I was told by a recruiter 2 years ago.
