Thanks for sharing. Great vises and it would be interesting to see more of your collection, but I agree with your assessment of your camera action...I'm gonna go have a seizure now :)

Thanks for this. I have a 643 1/2 that I bought at the flea market and I am finishing up a restoration. When I got it, everything was seized except the jaws. I was eventually able to free it up and cleaned the rust via electrolysis. I just have a few minor things to get it ready to put it back together, but it is looking great! I had no idea what I was buying at the time and wanted to have a vise while starting to build my workshop. I am glad I stumbled into a really cool piece!

I really enjoy learning more about the history of vises. I collect as well, but not as much as some. Amazon has some great tripods for cheap that you might be able to use while making your videos. Speaking of videos, keep them coming. They are great.

The blue Athol vice base casting looks exactly like a Charles Parker and the meatball appears drilled for a CP screw/spring/puck handle friction setup. It also has the lip requiring it to be mounted on the bench edge. This can be useful if working with a long piece it can pass through the jaws to the floor if necessary.

Was given a ATHOL 015 today. Can you talk about it please . Such as years of production, who retailed them, cost when new. I am very happy to receive this fine vice for my shop.

Nice video, good content! Would you have any information concerning a # 93 Athol vise?

Have you heard of a m940, I cannot find any info on it, I’m wanting to restore it and was looking on here for any videos and came across your video.

I have a 324A that was given to me. Anything you could tell me about it? I need to find a way to lock down the swivel base as the nut and handle is missing.

Good content but as you acknowledge your camera work needs to slow down a little. Not hating, just trying to help. I love the Athol/ Starrett vises too, but also am fond of the Morgan and Reed and Wilton and Record vises. Really all of the vintage stuff that I have found is great. Enjoyed the info.

Hi, I inherited a Athol 615, when I go to open it the handle and shaft come out but the jaw does not move unless I pull it open, it closes fine. How do I fix it? Thanks in advance, Bob

Do you have any leads for parts. I need a screw.
