Hoya caudata had been requested by one of the viewers out there, so since I am growing the plant, I figured I'd highlight it in the #308 spot in "365 Days of Plants".

In this video I'll discuss where it is originally native to, where I'm growing it in my home, and basics like light, watering and fertilizing.

You can check out more of these videos here and on my IGTV @homesteadbrooklyn.

This are the words of my experience mentor in Hoya growing 😁 Hoya caudata: easy to grow, easy to flower, one of the very few ones for me that flower the whole year around, producing 4-5 flowers on each new peduncle, then more each time it re-flowers, up to 7-8 on the strong “older” one. And, making me happy with this number.

Never been the first viewer ever. Thank you Summer, for giving me a new perspective of plants. Growing up in the tropical place, I did not get the indoor plants vibe at all until moving to Canada where the weather is not always "kind" to plants and I have to bring the greenery inside in the colder months. Have a fruitful day!

After seeing this on Instagram, I had to have it! The leaves and the furry flowers are a win win for me! It has an old prehistoric vibe with the leathery leaves and woody stems.

The flowers for this one don't have a scent, but they're so cute since they're fuzzy!

I got a cutting which I put in water to root but then left it in water for a couple months and it actually flowered for me. No scent and they didn’t last very long 2-3 days.

I have seen a lot os kind of sad looking cauldatas on you tube. not sure if they just look better in person, or if I am just very lucky. I ordered cuttings, and got some gorgeous healthy ones that have been rooting and growing happily for me in a plastic to go container. I have fish tanks without lids, so humidity is a thing in my home. I am growing about 9 ft away from a south facing window.

This is one of my dream hoyas, but my rooms humidity level is always 25-30% and I've heard that the hoya needs a lot of humidity.

🌱🌿Hello Summer! Would you please make a video on Thaumatophyllum Bipinnatifidum? Also, I've been trying to find more information on 'Selaginella Uncinata' Rainbow Moss, but to no avail!🌷🍀

Can you give an update on this plant? I heard they are hard to care for. Does it require high humidity?
