Psalm 103 is a psalm written by David. We don’t know the circumstances in which it was written, but since David was a man who knew the grace and deliverance of God many times, it could have been written at many different times of his life.
Pastor David Guzik walks us through reasons to bless and honor God and contrasts that display the greatness of God shown throughout this psalm.

David, thank you for your thoughtfulness by sharing this message about the mercies of God. I couldn't have listened to it at a more appropriate time, as I have just learned that my dad's wife passed away this morning a little after midnight.

Bless Yahweh, Oh my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless Yahweh, Oh my soul, and forget none of His benefits; who pardons all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases; who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion who satisfies your years with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle. Yahweh performs righteous deeds and judgments for all who are oppressed. He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the sons and daughters of Israel (all who are in Christ are in Israel.) Yahweh is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness. He will not always contend with us, and He will not keep His anger forever. He has not dealt with us according to our sins, and He has not rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. As a father has compassion on his children, so Yahweh has compassion on those who fear Him. For He Himself knows our form; He remembers that we are but dust.
Psalm 103:1-14 (with my personal edits added.)

All parents should have the same extraordinary attributes of God that children would thrive and then extend them to future generations!

Thank you so much, I struggled when I first became a Christian 1981 I thought I won never sin again, what a shock when I did 😥 I thought I had completely blown it and would be going straight to hell 🔥I stopped reading and going to church, but I did attend due to my husband encouraging me the speaker that day said " if you only think you are a Christian go home and make sure" I couldn't wait to get home I prayed with my husband the next day I thought I would read ? But where is my bible 🤔 I've not used it for a long time, it was right there by my side, the reading for that day out of bible was Psalm 103 reminding me that he had forgiven me and had never left me ♥️ Praise His Holy Name♥️

Thank you Pastor David for teaching us. What a wonderful Psalm, taking me out of the present situation, the trials of this life to a place where it's just pure worship and praise to an amazing God who deserves our worship for who He is and for the depths of His unfathomable mercy and love. What a great and good God I praise with my soul.

Thank you David for explaining this Psalm. I thank God for His goodness & His lovingkindness towards us . At this time 5-12-2022 in our country when leaders, & many people are determined to murder babies & destroy the children in education I do not understand how God can look at it . He hates our sin but loves , my prayer is that God will help us get back to being people that fear Him !! 🙏❤️
