The Prime Minister told MPs that the country was at a "record high" when it comes to testing during today's PMQs session.

"What we want to hear is more of the spirit of togetherness that we had yesterday," Mr Johnson told the Commons.

"This is an opportunity to support Test and Trace, to get behind the scheme and encourage people to believe in it."

But Keir Starmer hit back saying he was not going to be lectured by the PM on supporting the NHS.

He doesn't even pretend to tell the truth anymore. But then there's enough gullible fools who'd believe that up was really down if he told them.

The number of deaths in hospitals has practically flat-lined in England, the test itself is flawed and there are more positives due to more testing. At least 85% of people who test positive have no symptoms whatsoever. We need a sensible re-appraisal of the situation.

Boris and his entire team are incompetent. They’re a joke and they’re going to leave making a mockery of us

How does BoJo expect that we will believe this when clearly we can see that the evidence points in the other direction

Completely dodged the question and went on about something else which was irrelevant. He could do this against Corbyn as he was unelectable but he’s starting to get found out now and everyone is starting to see it.

“Good news, testing at an all time high! We’re doing a good job!”

“On an unrelated note, cases are SURGING so go back inside.”

Right. So no correlation there, then.

There is an estimated 30% false positive rate from the pcr test so if you greatly increase testing you also greatly increase positive results that are incorrect, this is why so many people are supposedly a-symptomatic because they don’t actually have it

Parliament is not fit for purpose, the government continues to rule by decree and the opposition is anything but.

Testing at record high means false positives are at a record high.

I've lived in the UK for 2 years... We definitely have more freedom here in Germany. We follow rules by choice, which is why we have less rules.

The UK has so many strict rules on everything. I felt very alien in this strict country. And all that cctv everywhere and the collection of personal data without any protection...

After Brexit, the British will lose more and more rights. Boris Johnson doesn't know freedom. If you've never overcome oppression - so how would you even know what freedom is?

I think the Italians and Germans have a better idea of freedom than a country that has been build on utilitarism: individual freedom has to be restricted for the greater good.

And that's how it rolls with the "Empire" (btw keep on dreaming about your great Empire - you as a country of merely 66 Mio. will never be relevant to the world again, now that you've left the EU).

I'll give him that: Johnson really knows how to piss off friends and neighbours.
