"The Taiwan Policy Act is the first U.S. policy since the landmark TRA that integrates the political, military and economic in one holistic strategy. Taiwan Talks looks at what’s behind the radical bill and asks what will likely happen as it passes through Congress and on to the president’s office.

Stephen Tan, Attorney and Managing Director of International Policy Advisory Group, and Albert Chiu, Professor at Tunghai University’s Department of Political Science help us analyze the significance of the components of this ambitious proposal.

We also spoke with Robert Sutter, Professor of Practice of International Affairs at George Washington University and author of 22 books including Chinese Foreign Relations: Power and Policy of an Emerging Global Force; Stephen Yates, former White House, Deputy Assistant to the Vice President for National Security Affairs, and currently CEO of DC International Advisory; and June Teufel Dreyer, Professor of Political Science at Miami University and author of published books including “China's Political System: Modernization and Tradition,” and “Middle Kingdom and Empire of the Rising Sun: Sino-Japanese Relations Past and Present.”
