Germany helping Ukraine to defend itself against the russian military. Just 10 years ago it would have sounded as ridiculous fantasy. Thank you Germany for your support! 🇩🇪 🤝 🇺🇦.

Ukraine is the first nation to get this system, even germany does not have it.
One battery can defend one big city like kiev, and with the high success rate, one battery will be enough for one city.
Combine this with the gepard aa-tanks, germany has provided ukraine an highly effective air defensive capability.

The new German 2.7 billion € arms package for Ukraine published yesterday also includes a further 4 IRIS-T systems - a total of eight. The 3th will be delivered in autumn.

Great! I hope that Germany delivers more of these systems and the middle range versions as well.

The IRES-T will also play a role to secure the airspace over Europe for the medium range Arow 3 for defense ballistic missiles

There is also an IRIS-T HYDEF in the works against hypersonic cruise missiles.

Taiwan should invest in 10 Iris -T systems - I would do it, if I would be Taiwan.

Israel is one of the most capable Air-defense protection country, As a person who saw many rockets and missiles interception i can tell that the IRIS-T system is a great system to defend against very challenging missiles attacks, like Cruise missiles that are very hard to intercept!

Great job Germany, very good design and together with other systems Ukraine can repel many attacks on their land.
Go Ukraine !

IRIS may be a little to expensive to use it on cheap iranian drones. Gepard or other AA-guns would be more cost-effective.

Took "us" (Germany that is) long enough but it's good to see top of the line systems in Ukraine - after all most German weapon systems, even the state of the art current ones, are essentially still meant to fight a "Super Citadel" style battle of annihilation against a Cold War era soviet advance out of East Germany, so it's somewhat unsurprising that the various high tech systems excel against a Russian advance over rather open ground in Ukraine.

Slava Ukraini! 🇺🇦🇩🇪
