A true crime comedy show may sound strange, but fans of "My Favorite Murder" say it is much more than just a podcast. The show averages more than two million listeners per episode and 30 million downloads per month. "My Favorite Murder" is hosted by Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark.Their new book is a joint memoir called "Stay Sexy & Don't Get Murdered: The Definitive How-To Guide." Kilgariff and Hardstark join "CBS This Morning" to discuss the moment they realized they had a shared interest and their unique approach to conversations about murder.

Each weekday morning, "CBS This Morning" co-hosts Gayle King, Anthony Mason and Tony Dokoupil deliver two hours of original reporting, breaking news and top-level newsmaker interviews in an engaging and informative format that challenges the norm in network morning news programs. The broadcast has earned a prestigious Peabody Award, a Polk Award, four News & Documentary Emmys, three Daytime Emmys and the 2017 Edward R. Murrow Award for Best Newscast. The broadcast was also honored with an Alfred I. duPont-Columbia Award as part of CBS News division-wide coverage of the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. It's like trying to explain this podcast to my parents! Amazing.

Did any of these interviewers listen to even one episode of MFM? They seem scared of Karen and Georgia. It would be much more fun to have a fan of the show interview them.

This is the most "you had to be there..." Interview ever. I want to shake all their shoulders and yell, " YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOURE MISSING OUT ON!! WHAT ARE YOU DOINGGGG!"

Am I the only one who could so tell that the interviewers never listened to the podcast even in regards to preparation and were going off whatever notes they had been given and were kind of weirded out lmaoo also it's difficult to describe the podcast in such a short time span. Like aside from murders or how they use comedy, it delves into human rights, seeing things from different angles, mental health awareness/openness, how to stay safe in situations and legit so much more. fellow murderinos lemme hear ya say yeahhh

That man on the end..."You're not a lot of things but people take your advice"? Really?

There is something about their voices for me. Theyve become so welcoming and comforting.

I love listening to the hosts say things from the show and totally not get it. They act like the show is ridiculous. Meanwhile, none of the hosts could pull down a quarter of the traffic MFM gets if they did a podcast.

This is legitimately so painful to watch. They truly do not get it and were rude and judgmental. This is the worst.

Why can I hear every thought screaming in their heads?

"you're not a lot of things" jesus. They felt very disconnected from their guests.

I've only listened to the podcasts and then seen pictures of them. This is the first time that I've been able to put the voices and the faces together and it's blowing my mind
