Hi Nick, just wondering if you have stuck with the wood slitting plate or the plastic 3d printed splitting plate?

Did the split in the middle of the brood horizntally or cutting the brood in half vertically worked better for you?

Does the vent hole on the back became a weakpoitns from predators/parasites?
Is it possible for mites and larvae from wasp to enter through the vent hole?
Even though you put metal screen on it.

This is a beautiful setup, but I am a little confused. How many levels is this hive? I see the upper hive and the lower hive, but this does not have the honey super. Is this correct? Is this set up for hive continuation/separation, but not honey extraction?
