It’s Ryan Air. Will be configured to carry 812 passengers. No cabin storage, all checked into the cargo hold. No kitchens either, as no food or beverage service.

It was me guys, mystery solved. Actually hold on, now that I’ve woken up, I don’t actually have that much money 😬😂

I think that 747-8 went to a VIP customer as the two 747-8 that were supposed to go to transaero now went to the USAF and will carry the president of the US

That’s good news for Boeing, especially during this recovering time. ✈️

I wouldn’t be surprised if it goes to the Air Force as a replacement of one their aging dooms day plane lmao or somewhere within DoD.

the 747-8 was not very successful but looks very beautiful! I love the engine cowling! Wow, probably someone very rich bought the plane privately....

My guess is either one of the current operators (china or korean air) or possibly the US Military - tho I’m not sure how much publicly known preapproval it may need.

First off i’d be shocked to find a non current commercial operator buying just one jet due to the increased costs. Additionally it would seem surprising for a character carrier to operate just one as well.

A private buyer is certainly a strong possibility, especially since there will be no more of the 747-8 or a380s built. However i wonder if the US military may have snatched it up. We all know the expense they are going through with the new SAM 747s but i wonder if there is some classified procurement for a replacement E-4. Those aircraft have to be getting old and maybe they will look to replace at least one with a new airframe and leave an older one as backup.

Alright, I am the buyer, giving it away an Easter gift.

I could see this going to replace some of the Sands VIP widebodies as they are rather old and one of their 747 SP was recently written off.

That’s also why there are gaps in the LH 747-8 Registrations! There’s no D-ABYB or D-ABYE (the 747 in the video)

It's probably going to some billionaire to be their new private jet.

It will probably be a VIP airplane. Would be cool to see one in Las Vegas Sands but my guess would be a government operator, probably in Middle east or Asia.

This must’ve been why Lufthansa has 19 of the 20 originally ordered in the early 2000’s

Can you do a run down of current passenger operators (as of Mar 2021), of 747 (all variants), A340 (all variants) and maybe 757/767? Us avgeeks need to plan our holidays when we are allowed to travel again!

I wish I knew who bought the aircraft. I'm curious to know who it is.

As far as I know, US DOD is looking for the newest version of a 747 to make it the new Air Force One. Wouldn't surprise me if they are the buyer. They need some months to refit it and then announce it.

Could be a ruler of an immensely rich ME nation or a high profile individual.
