I just saw "Next Exit" and was impressed, given its budget. The dialogue was witty and I liked some of the tiny gags thrown in, like the name of the car rental agency. My only quibble with the film is that it tried to cover a few too many topics in a relatively short period of time. It's labeled indie sci-fi but I thought it was more of a ghost story wrapped in commentary about emotional struggles ranging from loss and loneliness to fatalism and acceptance.

I thought it was terrible. I was waiting for the movie to start and it never did. Here’s the entire plot. Two people are going to go down the sushi slide because they have verified that your consciousness carries on, and they’re depressed. They drive across the country together, get to know each other, and change their minds. That’s it. That’s the whole movie.

Was the first destination LA but they couldn't, cause of traffic

Its a feel good movie! Stop complaining, the two leads had great chemistry.
It was let down by adding the (ex-cop) in the bar, and didnt do anything with the fact that one of the two knew that the experiment was being shut down by court order and didnt tell the other.
