Guys hes not talking about kos i think its about a phenomenon in which some fighters tend to get ko'd extremely quickly all of a sudden after taking too much damage one time

I have a theory that its evolutionary rather than accumulative.

I'm glad Joe has started giving the "other less optimistic" (AKA more realistic) perspective

Nah I'm gonna say it's the opposite. If it was evolutionary, for protection, why would ur brain choose to fall asleep in the middle of a fight? It's just an unfortunate mechanism

That’s why boxing is also a battle on the mental front too

But you can get knocked out anytime no-matter how many fights you have or haven’t had if you get hit in the right place no?

The way I've described it to others is to imagine you have 2 health bars, one for your head, and one for your body.
If you bash the body, then let it heal the body health bar will increase slightly.
If you bash your head and then let it heal, the health bar will never go back to the top, it will only ever get smaller until the wind from someone's fist is enough to knock you out.

Chuck and Tony are great examples. I have another one. Anderson Silva. He had one of the best chins in the business. But after Weidman cracked him, he would buckle after shots that he would normally walk straight through....

Think of the concussions they receive over they're fighting career. Think of it this way every time a fighter gets tagged hard and shakes it off its still a concussion and brain trauma . I pray for them as they get older

Psychology is subjective, but you getting clocked at just the right spot for your brain to become a ping-pong ball isn't.

The reason people get knocked out cold is because whatever hit caused them to go unconscious, jolted their sinus, causing the flow of blood and oxygen to your brain to he altered, which can then subsequently cause you to blackout. Having a good chin is almost completely genetic, physical not mental. You can train your neck muscles like Tyson so that you are less likely to have your sinus be jolted but no amount of mental fortitude can prevent you from being knocked out if you are hit correctly, it all just depends on the shape of your jaw, how much muscle it has, and how much you train it. The mental aspect is being able to get back up after being knocked down.
