I am impressed with this lady.
She is going to have a good life because she is seeking a better life for herself. Even though she says she got the "wrong" degree, she still went through the process and she did it. That in itself shows she has what it takes to see something through. She has determination and grit with grace.
I expect this woman to become one of Dave's millionaires. It may take a while, but she will get there and retire comfortably. Life will become good for her and she will have earned every bit of it.

Disown her and prosecute her to fullest extent of the law!!!! That's called tough love on a family criminal!!!!

I disagree with Dave that she is "self aware". She takes zero responsibility. She took loans and lived on them. She says she cannot handle "stress". The entire call she is making excuses and blaming others.

So many students pay good money for garbage degrees in college. It is such a crime that every level of schooling in the USA is severely deficient in the learning about money.

Psychologists need to know when to stop talking and start listening, so good move on the career decision.

Sue her... Dave is a expert in that area

I feel you girl...my degree is in psychology too. I work in the field and the pay is not great. She is very insightful and wants to gain wisdom. That is important.

That's why finances should be taught in school. Not everyone learns it at home.

She has a head on her shoulders and a great attitude, I feel like she can turn this around and make a great living for herself. She’s 39, halfway through her life, still young and can make a good change for herself.

There's plenty of business career paths for that degree. Entry level into the customer service or marketing or sales departments and then progress. Even the inventory/operations side. Anything where relationships are involved (so anywhere). Communications, psychology, political science degrees can all be leveraged in business quick enough. She wasted 10 years.

Sue her and get what? She's broke. And a suit would get this woman MORE in debt. The best is to just walk away. Lessons learned.

Chanel is moving towards the action stage of behavioral change. She seems to have the motivation and plan to beat her circumstances. I hope she sticks to it! 🔥

She has had the dept for 11 years if she is not going to use her degree what a waste. If she had never gone to college she would have been much better off 😳

Eh? Dave says, "You need to double your income, " and the caller says, "Yeah! That sounds really doable!" If it's so easy to double your income, then why not do it already?

Why is the title about her mom? All of her debt is her own fault! She spent 100k on school in a field that she knew didn't match her personality! Plus getting a car and apartment that she can't afford.

Girl. You should look at waiting tables. You can easily make more than $30k. I take home around $50k on my worst year. $70k one year.
