The name Robert Parker reminds me of Paul Parker the great Italo performer of the 80's. Soundwise they are miles apart but there is a connection and that is the italo theme itself. Shooter reminds me of a cross between Michael Cretu, a tiny bit of Koto and some slice of Mark Shreeve.  And that itself is always good.
There are a lot of memorable 80's themes to be found here and it seems that Robert Parker certainly has done his homework. This is retro as it should sound! No pretending hipster shit. No overproduced gimmick shit or some other awkward nonsense. What you want is what you get, a sweet nostalgia ride.
