Fat Cat Elvis Can't Even Walk! | My Cat From Hell | Animal Planet

This Elvis is the ‘King’ of food that is. Married couple Ted and Rachel and their son Ben have a 21-pound problem, their cat Elvis. Elvis is a certifiable food addict and will not stop begging day and night. Ted is a truck driver and Elvis’ incessant crying is keeping him up all hours. Ted says if Elvis can’t control himself he’s going to kick him out of the house for good. Rachel and Ben both love Elvis and can’t imagine living with out him, but now his weight issues are creating health issues too. If they can’t get Elvis to lose some weight and lose his attitude, Ted is ready for Elvis to leave the building...forever.

I'm glad Rachel is taking Elvis out for walks not only for him but for herself as well, I actually started taking my cat Hazel out for a walk because of the same reason. I need to lose weight for some of my heart issues that I was born with, and now because I've learned how to properly introduce walking with cats. I have Hazel who loves to go on hikes, and now I also have Timmy who not only loves to go on hikes and walks. But also loves kayaking, boating, as well as he is my emotional support animal for my fear of needles. I have a lot of health issues, but unfortunately I have PTSD from IV needle sticks. He has helped me calm down to the point where he has taught I need to lose weight for some of my heart issues that I was born with, and now because I've learned how to properly introduce walking with cats. I have Hazel who loves to go on hikes, and now I also have Timmy who not only loves to go on hikes and walks. But also loves kayaking, boating, clicker training. He loves all of it, and it is even helped him out with pica. I have talked to my vet, and as a cat behaviors myself. Both my conclusion and my vets conclusion is that his Pika is boredom related. The ones I actually started taking him out for walks and giving him an extra play time, as well as clicker training him. His Pica has gone away almost 100%, he does have his episodes. The second I see him chewing on something though, out comes the toy. And he loves it! Very proud of Rachel for getting out and realizing that she needs to walk her cat not only for him but for herself.

A TINY fingernail sized piece of doughnut is okay to give as a treat VERY rarely, not a whole donut, not half, not even a quarter.

I’m no expert, but I heard that giving cats too many “yeasty” foods can cause alcohol poisoning.

Can’t watch this this is so painful. I have four cats, I was worried about Mama being too thin, but the vet said she’s fine. She’s just a small cat. I cook for my cats quite often. I make chicken. For them chicken is no big deal because I fix it so often. Usually baked. They didn’t care for the steamed at first, put a little salt on it when I steamed it, and we all had it. I only did this once because I don’t like the idea of giving them salt. Salt wasn’t the thing it was getting them to eat it. I need a little bit of salt on the chicken so I will eat it. we eat the same food often… but I fix food I fix the first half for them and then I season it for me.

I grew up, food is love. But it is not love if it is unhealthy. Healthy food is definitely love. my grandmother, grew up in a family were showing affection, was not accepted. My grandmother only showed love through her cooking. She was not a great cook, but she was a wonderful baker. She refused to stop baking for my grandfather. he died fairly young.

I’m glad that boy helped his family anyone can spiral into a weird situation mum I can see has a good heart, hope this made her understand she also needs to take care of herself, dad be a bit more optimistic, come on you raised a fantastic boy :)

My tabby cat is obsessed with doughnuts. I give her two bites and she eats cat food and treats, but when she sees a doughnut, she books it to me😊

Poor cat. Poor people. Personally, I have a slim, athletic structure, and never had issues with weight. But a decade ago I found myself nearing death with an immune disease because of stress and overwork. In the hospital they put me on steroids, and kept me on steroids on and off for about 2 yrs. During that time, my brain didn't function properly and I couldn't stop eating. I almost killed myself with food, felt my stomach almost bursting out. That was the 1st time in my life I actually experienced what sick people feel. It's horrifying. Hope everybody the best of health. Take care of yourself, people.
