Story of the Day | Brands Hatch GP | Rounds 28-29-30 | BTCC 2024

#BTCC round up from the tenth and final event of the year! As the day began six drivers are still mathematically in contention to win the title! For the first time in modern history the two at the front of the field are tied on points! Will it be Jake Hill or Tom Ingram out in front, Ashley Sutton a stretch behind or one of the outsiders of Dan Cammish, Josh Cook or Colin Turkington to lift the coveted 2024 crown? This is the BTCC, this is the UK's premier motorsport series!

Congratulations to Jake Hill. Thoroughly deserved the title and commiserations to Tom Ingram who drove like a champion for most of the weekend. Also congratulations to Power Maxed Racing and their drivers for securing all their available titles.

I was supporting Ingram (along with seemingly most of the crowd) but congratulations Jake Hill on getting the most wins and therefore being deserving of this year's championship title. Ingram needs a strong teammate like Turkington to support him as we saw yesterday.

Still conflicted on Jake, a great driver there’s no doubt about that but when it doesn’t go well for him he does throw a strop. If Tom win I don’t think Jake would’ve been as gracious in defeat as Ingram was. But then again I’m a Tom fan through and through. As for the reverse grid at Silverstone, I actually don’t think he cheated mainly because he wouldn’t be able to live with himself afterwards. It’s been ages since ball 6 was pulled anyway, it was bound to happen at some point and like Alan said, every driver has a cheeky look but ball 6 wasn’t even showing

Attended the race yesterday and it was great. However, it seems that the championship is losing some depth in terms of manufacturers and strong drivers. Hopefully 2025 starts off strongly! 🚀

Huge support? No. I'm sorry, but no. Dirty-cheats, like Fake, don't deserve support, nor championships. Fake should've been disqualified from Race 3 at Silverstone, after he 100% got caught red-handed for what he did in the reverse-grid-fish-bowl and both TOCA and Race-Control did nothing in their job. Both yesterday and 2024, turned-out to be the darkest day and the darkest season in the history of the BTCC, all because of that villain, Fake. As for clean-respectful-racers, Tom and Ash, they'll be back and make the BTCC great again. This was the worst season ever for all of us true fans.
