Indeed, it can be tough to learn how to code, especially for a children when most coding languages are in English and that's not their first language.

And that's exactly why we designed a new programming language and a dedicated educational app. They let you code in your own language, whether that's Hindi, Chinese, Spanish, German, Polish, French or others supported. Coding in your own language can make things a lot easier (and more fun) for beginners. We're from Poland/EU, and we know, just as the video pointed out, how important it is to have access to such tools in your own language, e.g. for primary education. It's not just about English (while I guess some governments may consciously strive to resist the dominance of the English language for cultural or political reasons), it's about making skills like coding equally accessible for everyone, no matter what language they speak.

All the publicity about children "coding" glosses over the fact that they are either using software that produces the code for them as they type very high level statements or pull graphics onto the screen or else they are writing very elementary code that doesn't create complete programs. Only a very small number of children would actually be able to sit still long enough to create real software and even then, very simple short applications - maybe. All this is like showing a child how to carve a potato with a knife and then making a fuss about how they now capable of doing neurosurgery. (just found this old comment of mine and want to add that I was commenting on coding classes given in the US - did not mean to comment on other countries)
