About SIREN:
“Siren” takes us inside Bristol Cove—a coastal town known for its legend of once being home to mermaids. When the arrival of a mysterious girl proves this folklore all too true, the battle between man and sea takes a very vicious turn as these predatory beings return to reclaim their right to the ocean. The series stars Alex Roe (“The 5th Wave”) as Ben, a bright marine biologist who finds himself drawn to a mysterious new girl in town, Ryn, played by Eline Powell (“Game of Thrones”), who is a strange young woman with a deep dark secret. Fola Evans-Akingbola (“An American Exorcism”) stars as Maddie, also a marine biologist who works with Ben, and is highly suspicious of Ryn. Ian Verdun (“Life’s a Drag”) stars as Xander, a deep sea fisherman on a quest to uncover the truth; and Rena Owen (“Star Wars” Episodes II and III) as Helen, the town eccentric who seems to know more about the mermaids than she lets on. Based on a story by Eric Wald and Dean White who both serve as executive produces. Emily Whitesell (“Finding Carter”) is on board as Showrunner and Executive Producer. Brad Luff, Nate Hopper and RD Robb are also attached as executive producers.

I love that what makes "Siren's" mermaids different, is their animalistic approach and mannerisms. Hope-smelling Ryn and the two circling each other just made me think of two wolves. And I've also found that the merpeople are very cat-like in how they move and communicate with each other.

For those asking why Hope is blonde... the show's message is - physical traits don't matter! In the water, they are all ONE skin color. Also, if we're going to bring up hair... who gave Sarge an underwater military hairstyle?

For anyone confused why Hope has blonde hair; I think genetics are random in the mermaid world just like cats and dogs maybe, but also how Ryn's sister is completely black and Ryn is completely white.

One of the many things I love about this show is that in season 1, Ryn looks more like a teenager. But by season 3, she really does look like the mother she is. Can there be a season 4?

I don’t wanna seem like a complainer, but what the hell is the writers doing with Maddie’s character. I’m upset on how they’ve did her this season. She’s a main character yet she’s never around for the important parts. It’s always Ben/Ryn and I get that the 3 of them aren’t together anymore but that makes Maddie all of sudden irrelevant to the storyline? It’s like she’s there but she’s not there.

Hope has grown so big when I saw her in the water I was shook then I got mad when I saw the traitor pretending to be “family” with Ryn 😡😡 I cant wait to see what happens in the next season 🙂🙂
