How to Open Docx Files with an XML Editor

I have a better idea. Why not use XML Mind to import your Word document? Go File > Import DOCX and then after selecting your file, press the [Convert] button.

It's that easy.

But I found there is a problem somewhere. When I had an .odt (LibreOffice Writer) file and used LO to convert to .docx then import into XML Mind, some of the text is not converted and shows placeholder [XML Mind] instead. More work to go through a long document and find what the word is supposed to be. Could be a bug.

I'm trying to do this in order to rescue a open-password word document. I've zipped and now wanting to get my xml archive, but nothing is coming up. I'm using 7zip. What would you recommend? I'm opening up a .doc file.

Thanks for the video! How do you save changes? When I re-archive the folder and then rename it to .docx, Word says it's corrupted and cannot be opened even if I haven't made any changes to XML files. Is there some special flags I should be using while making an arhive?

You can edit zipped xml in far directly without changing file extension.
