Come along for a hike with my Zeiss Super Ikonta C folding camera from 1937. This is my oldest camera, so it needed a few repairs, but now it actually takes really nice pictures, especially considering how old it is!

*Useful stuff I mentioned*
Red flash light that doesn't blind you at night, great for astro and night photography, possibly also useful in the darkroom (untested):

Thank you for making a video on your Zeiss 6x9 Folder and taking us along on your hike while using it. I was very interested to hear your family stories and also your love of photography and cameras. Your created images were lovely compositions with complex textures and tonal values. Love your honest, sensitive interest and understanding of photography and how you express this.... I recently tried for the first time my own 6x9 Folder, a 1930s Ihagee and just got the result back a day ago. Happy to report that the negatives look good but will scan to look more closely, but excited this camera offers possibilities.

I like your videos because you are in them. I especially like when we get to see a little more of your quirky personality. I really don't know much about cameras, photography so any content you share is an educational experience for me. Happy holidays.

Thanks for the video. Enjoyed the humour 😊 I used a Zeiss ikon as a boy and have just been reacquainted with it, after 45 years!

Love seeing videos of people’s camera collection, hope you do make more. The light leak transitions look great, as well. Good to see you are doing well, looking forward to seeing all the video you’ve been accumulating.

I had the same model Ikonta C 531/2 camera, the leather & interior fabric bellows was still light tight. It is best to use filters for black & white film, yellow & deep orange works well. The lens is a Tessar 105mm/f3.5 (it is also found with Opton Tessar f3.5.). When removing the lens for cleaning, do remember to record its original position, as with all front cell focussing.

hey, this was a good watch! you really got to show what the camera is capable of (and how much of a headache hunting for those light leaks can be). Subscribed!

Please test french Pierrat Drépy HQ folding camera with coated 4 element "tessar" type of lens called "Drestar" 4.5 / 102 or even 3.5 / 102 . They are sublime and affordable in France. The best Pierrat Drépy is the Drépy GT with coupled rangefinder. The east german Beier Precisa IIa with rangefinder and HQ coated Meyer Görlitz Trioplan lens is also a gem and still cheap to find.

Very nice and charming video, Lilly! I've got a Moskva 2 and a Moskva 5, copies of your camera, the 5 is in quite good shape, and my go to camera for 6x9. You've taken some great images with it, nice to see! I do believe Agfa developed colorfilm in the 30s, but it was not at all common. Keep up the good work!

Fantastic! I have a Zeiss-Ikon Super Ikonta A (530) 6x4.5 from 1938 and a Balda Baldaxette II 6x6 that I really enjoy using.

Someone gave me a folding camera for Christmas. This video inspires me to find film for it and do some outdoor photography with it.

Very nice. I was considering a 6x9 folder, specifically the Zeiss or Mockba, before I got a really good deal on a Fuji GL w/ 100 and 180. Of course I will pay in WEIGHT, but the interest that other people show will also be there and I get to say it’s a Texas Leica! LOL. BTW, on the walk the semi-surround sound was really interesting and well conveyed by the iPad. At first I thought the sounds just to the right and slightly above my right ear were something in my room, but I figured out it was the recording. Cool!
