Cheyenne Frontier Days rodeo is known as the "Daddy of 'em All", beginning in 1897. While you have the standard bareback and saddle bronc riding, bull riding and steer roping (individual and team - George and his son are ropers), there's a lot more as it's now a 10-day fiesta with lots of things to do and see.

If I had to listen to one singer/group for the rest of my life, it would be George Strait with his Ace In The Hole Band. 60 Number 1 hits, still married to his high school sweetheart, awesome voice, best backup band in the world, never any drama and a class act! I got his autograph on the steps of his tour bus at 12 midnight. Amarillo By Morning, Marina Del Ray and You Got To Have An Ace In The Hole are among my favorites.

Little did we know it would be our last, but my wife and I attended a George Strait concert one year before she passed away from cancer at the age of 47. I'm so grateful and blessed we were able to attend before she passed away. Check out Charley Pride "Standing In My Way" for three chords and the truth! How many people can relate to this song!

I’m a Texan. My family are rodeo contestants, stock contractors, or ranchers, for six generations. Always have respected the sentiments in these lyrics. I’ve witnessed the back-at-the-ranch mother or grandparents, - as well as the traveling rodeo cowboys and cowgirls, throughout my entire family. Some sacrifices are worth it! I saw George Strait live, front row in 2019. He was great.
