I'm so glad anime existed. Never fails to distract me from the negativity of the environment I'm in right now. It makes me forget the negative thoughts building up inside me; at least temporarily. But that short time keeps me sane, track myself and think. So thankful I discovered this long before. I enjoyed it during my best times and appreciate this during my down times.

I've never been as hurt by any anime ending as much as in this one, every single anime out there almost, always ends with a satisfying ending even after all the struggles, but oh Lord this one stays grounded to reality and teaches us that not everything our heart wants is always what is given to us in the end. The guy literally is so unhappy and regretful with his current life and still yearns for the girl whom he has shared priceless memories, who ironically is already happy with her current life has obviously moved on from "those memories" which is what makes it even more so painful to watch. I'm hurt but definitely the movie is just undeniably one of a kind, truly a masterpiece even though it broke my heart in the end.

So when Your Name came out and unexpectedly gave me that ‘ending scene’, I felt chills ran through me and cried tears of joy.

Lagi iseng buka yt nemu lgi ost dri MAD yg sering aku dgr waktu masih SMP. Ga kerasa udh 8 tahun. Tiap dgr brsa flashback ngerasain prsaan² Dejavu lewat melodinya. Aku pernah nangis sesegukan dgrin lagu ini krna baru ngerasain first love sma tmn kls, cinta sepihak slma 3 tahun dri SMP lol. Klau diingat² agak geli² jga sih. Mgkin saat itu sakit yg pling aku rasain tapi skrg kyknya masa² cinta sepihak masa SMP bkln ngangenin bgt sih. Pengen ngerasain lagi, perasaan berbunga-bunga, sedih, degdegan ga jls yg mna blm pernah ngerasain lagi. Idk first love just hit different lol.
