Ab Ke Saawan (Reprise) || Madhubanti feat John Paul

I know the phrase 'Ab Ke Sawan' reminds a lot of people of the iconic song of the 90s by Shubha Mudgal. But for me it was a very special creation of Sachin-Jigar that I got to be a part of. This particular version is my take on the song, which I had thought of on a particularly rainy evening in Mumbai. As beautiful as the melody is, I thought if I could make it sound like it's coming from a girl who's otherwise living a very busy city life in, coming home and singing it to the rain outside her windows, with a cup of tea in her hands.
I found John Paul in the process, who is such an incredible musician and mostly endowed with the gift of patience (he's had to put up with my shenanigans!) and never says no to a challenge. I could've never express what 'Ab Ke Sawan' means to me without his amazing artistic contribution.

This song is dedicated to all of you who have given me so much love for the music I've been doing. Hope you like it.
