Enjoy your holiday without having to worry about shaving and hope you all just have a very chilled relaxing time together as a family. Can dress more casual, and not have to worry about dressing a certain way for royal duties etc Because the beard suits you and makes you look distinguished you would still look good for your duties wearing a beard.
This is just my opinion as a ex master unisex hairdresser, hairdressing teacher and stylist. Although I gave up hairdressing years ago. I'm 70 years old now but can still study features and what type of features look good with beards. You lucky you have a square jawline and a chin that dies not recede. Be sure to use a good moisturising conditioner on your beard, to help feed the hair follicles and keep the skin supple underneath, so it doesn't tighten too much, to crush hair growth. Head massages with treatment conditioning and use of ultraviolet light also helps keep your scalp subtle, stimulated and prevent tightening of the scalp.
But anyway wish you all lovely time with all your family etc.
