It’s been years since I saw this as I remember I enjoyed it.

I'm not a big horror fan, but I like this. I watched it because I liked Angharad Rees from Poldark in the 70s.

Question of the Evening : What would you be doing right now if you didn't direct any movies at all?

Thank you, Matt, that was such a wonderful, thoughtful review - I really enjoyed it. For me, it's Eric Porter who really makes this movie: what a remarkable actor he was, and his character in "Hands of the Ripper" is so manly, decent and likeable. Personally, I'm prepared to suspend disbelief and forgive the film's triggers of the shiny necklaces and kisses on the cheek. I guess I put reality and logic slighty to one side when I watch Hammer horror movies. There's inevitably a fairy-tale aspect to them that I am more than happy to embrace. "Hand of the Ripper" is not a great film, but it's a very good, highly enjoyable one. My score: 9.0.
