Ahh Pat and Mat. One of the best children's shows in existence, and little pearl of my childhood.
Accessible to children across the world - no language necessary.
God bless Chechoslovakia for gracing us with it. 😍

Prague Spring Ending: Czechoslovakia succeeded in throwing off Soviet influence in 1968 and even repelled an attempted crackdown by the Soviet armed forces. With NATO mobilizing to intervene, the Soviets were forced to back down and allowed the Czechs to leave the Warsaw Pact without further violence on the condition that they sign a neutrality treaty, which was ratified in Prague later in the year. They then joined the Non-Aligned Movement, and became well known as a safe haven for dissidents from the Warsaw Pact as well as for their arms exports to nations unable to procure satisfactory kit from NATO or the Warsaw Pact.
