In other words, 3 parts salt, 3 parts pepper. 1 part onion powder, 1 part garlic powder. There. I fixed it.

I use this exact same mix but with thyme. Something about these simple ingredients that when put together they sing in perfect harmony 😂

Good morning ! It's a really nice video to see exactly what we're using as ingredients and the translucent container is a great idea. In France, we don't use the same salt (either it's fine, a bit like sugar, or it's coarse, because it's sea salt). Do you have the weights in ounces or grams? I take care of converting them afterwards. THANK YOU !

I keep the same rub around for everything! I call it SPOG (Salt/Pepper/Onion/Garlic) 4:2:1:1 ratios.

Love the ratio markings on the container, great idea.
I use very similar mix, I add a lil cayenne and dash of good chili powder (Pendery's).

Thanks for the video

This is the only rub that should be used on a brisket . It stops bitter bark

New to making seasonings so i made this same one last night and used 4 tbs of kosher salt 3 tbs coarse pepper 1 tbs of onion powder and 1 tbs garlic powered. I put everything in a 24oz shaker and realize it’s a small amount so I did this 2 more times with the same amounts and added everything to the shaker. My question is will the garlic powder and onion powder over power everything else? I didn’t think about this till I put everything together

Never use Garlic or Onion Powder, always use Granules. Powder clumps and cloggs up.
