The FPS increase is not that much higher because the main point of the mod is to make your infinus rechargeable, not more powerful. Therefore you are saving money by not having to purchase new batteries and making your blaster lighter.

Thanks for this! We just got 2 Infinus blasters and I wired both of them up. I did take the shell off and soldered my wires directly to the board that the battery wires were soldered too. Was super easy! I was worried the voltage would hurt the blaster but I read about NiMH and found out the cells have 1.2 volts each, and each pack has 5 cells, so 6 volts total. These are our first blasters but I’ll be doing this to all of them! I’m just hoping to find a box to put the battery pack in so I don’t have to Velcro them so they’re not just sliding around loosely

Now its been 3 years but I do wanna ask how exactly the process went with connecting the battery pack with the tray. Did you have to cut any wires?
