The download process for every Minecraft world is different. However, generally, you are looking for a button to download the map. Minecraft maps will be downloaded as a .zip file.

And the first step of how to install Minecraft maps in 1.20.1 is actually unzipping the Minecraft map you downloaded. To this, right-click on the map you downloaded, click “Extract All” and click the “Extract” button. Your Minecraft map will then unzip.

You should now have a folder on your desktop. Open this folder until you see a “region” folder. Click the back arrow once in the top right, and then move this folder to the desktop. You want to make sure that when you open the folder, the region folder is there right away.

READ: nobody worry if it doesnt show you the rc folders and stuff, its fine! just ignore it, as some newer windows and just updates for some devices removed that screen, but it is okay! it still works the same, just skip that step and go put it into your worlds.

THANK you so much, 3:44 was the thing I wasn't paying attention at, the thing is that I didn't knew that you needed to actually have these files with icons and everything right after you click the folder, otherwise it wouldn't work, now that I do know, I won't have issues with maps, thank you so much

Edit: there's a problem with some map, that shows that I cannot enter the world and ask me to or press the "safe mode" or go back to the title screen, if I press "safe mode" it still doesn't let me into the world, doesn't affect all maps, only some, and it still is quite an issue

to reach your .minecraft file faster you can use the windows key + r then type %appdata% then go to roaming where it will appear
