In Westlake, hospital workers are demanding better safety protections while working the frontlines of the coronavirus pandemic.

Registered nurses and fellow staff gathered outside PIH Health Good Samaritan Hospital this morning. They said PPE supplies, including N-95 respirators, are in low supply, putting them at risk of infection. They're also protesting what they call inadequate staffing and unsafe nurse-to-patient ratios when treating COVID-19 patients. The healthcare workers are also asking the hospital to pay them hazard pay for the conditions they endure on a daily basis.

I had to go to the ER coz I tore my rotator cuff and was in excruciating pain. I was too busy crying and in pain to care about my mask. Now 6 days later I’m afraid I may have caught COVID. I have health issues, I will surely not make it. And I’m STILL IN PAIN from my shoulder.

This hospital is a good place, but suffers from data-breaches. They actually have a records person selling patient data. They may have regressed into unsafe conditions, or may need some other attention. I noticed some employees becoming political.
