Ben Platt, who was an unknown when this movie was released, immediately raised my attention when I heard him sing. He's got this magical emotion he brings to every song he sings. But then he kinda disappeared. Sure, I know he was Elder Cunningham in the national tour of BoM, but that's not really a big spotlight. But now, this man has a Tony, a movie with the role he originated, and a big future ahead of him, despite the critical panning of said movie. Way to go Benji. You've got the magic for sure.
