Attacking classic stereotypes of evil in the form of Greed, corruption, envy, etc. can be done without that.

These 2 scenes are polar opposites of each other. In the original Snow White was guided to this house by her animal friends and she originally thought she should help clean it up in exchange for a place to stay, meanwhile the new film has Snow White come into their house and orders them to clean their own house. The 2 scenes are completely different in tone. If that happened in today’s age they would almost immediately get kicked out of the men’s house.

as a biological female who grew up watching and loving the original disney princess movies (Belle was my favorite!) I'm happy someone is finally taking a legal stand against this. Why do they have to take away our beloved classic princesses, why can't they just make new modern princesses with their own stories like they have every generation before this one?

I won't be watching this movie anyway. I have no problem with DEI but when you're going to take an existing character that people have grown up with, cartoon or not, and race swap them out in order to push an agenda I'm not interested. Create new characters, explore different cultures and educate people in the process. Swapping out a white person is not only incredibly offensive it's also lazy. It's the bare minimum and I will never understand why so many poc are ok with it. Maybe poc get a kick out of it because they're taking something away from white people, I don't know but it's bizarre and we're going to get to a point where people just stop supporting it. It's happening already. It's literally Disney giving poc crumbs.
