I did almost the same thing about 6 years ago. I know it may be wrong but the deck was fine 6 years later. 😅 I live in GA and the dirt is more clay than soil. I recently demolished it and redid it with all paver stones because I don’t have gutters on my house so the planks that sat under the edge of the roof would take a beating from rain. The only difference is after grading I covered the dirt with gravel and sand. As far as a wind gust lifting it up and away…… well the BBQ grill was back there for years and never went anywhere but I don’t know how it would stand up to hurricane winds or something

Snake 🐍 loves that kind of flooring 😂😅. In tropical areas that's not advisable specially in countryside a lots of snakes roaming around.

Wow that beautiful, how do you stop it from sinking though? Like after time? Where I live. After a yr that deck would sink 1/2 inch. We gta put concrete in to stop that
