Because I like being single, which doesn't mean I don't love men and dating. Long term relationship is not out of the question, in fact with a like minded man I'd love that as long as there's not a hidden agenda to be married. I've been married and where I'm very fortunate to have lovely children, that's the past and not required to enjoy a man, especially at this point in life. Let's have fun, enjoy each other, romance and all that goes into those, none of which require marriage.

Why am I single? I asked that question most of my life. It took 64yrs to figure it out.. Mental and physical abuse from parents for almost 20yrs. Parents that never were proud of you and viewed you as a burden not a gift. No support in any activity that you did as a child, tearing down your self respect and self confidence making you fear talking to anyone, mostly those of the opposite sex. Day in and day out living with this destroys any attempt to date. Like many say, women are looking for Alpha and when you are the dog that has been beat too much, you will become as they say the simp. You attach to any form of love like a clamp because you never had any form of it at home most of your life. It doesn't mean you can't love, you can't regulate your response when it is present, pushing others away. Makes a long lonely life.
