Dictator's one weakness: Surrounding themselves with 'yes' people who will not tell the dictator the real truth. The dictator's own flaws then become more evident.

Living in a echo chamber is every dictator's end.

Man imagine being a dictator for 20 years and thinking your next move will be your greatest achievement, only to realise it's your greatest failure. This man has no more than a few months to live. In ultimate fear for his life.

Putin banked on his extreme ethnicity bias was the bias of Ukraine. He expected acceptance in Ukraine as they also speak Russian. But, people differentiate between heritage and home. They are protecting their homes. Because I speak English does not make me British.

This reminds me of the Hitler issue. The generals were to afraid to argue . They were all yes men.

It's probably been quite awhile since anybody told Putin, 'No!'

I imagine when Putin is trapped in the bunker; he will call on Steiner to launch the Nukes ..hopefully, cooler heads will prevail

"The nature of its Government is interference, negligence and corruption. You rebel against the notion that you could become accustomed to all this, yet you do become accustomed to it. In that country, a sincere man would be taken for an idiot. Marquis de Custine, Travels in Russia

Putin was not poorly informed. He was told what he wanted to hear.

This is what happens when a leader surrounds themselves with Yes men.

I have a few Russian friends and they are all good people. I hope they get the government they deserve!

Way ore important is the fact that in dictatorships loyality is way more important then competence which then leads to a less competent leadership.

I think, yes this situation increases the probability of change, however, there is a poor track record of "predictions". If Putin is ruthless enough he might be able to hang on to power. The decrepit North Koreans demonstrate with enough brutality, you can keep everyone subjugated. Let's be open minded and see how this turns out.
