How do I use one light on one layer, but another light on a different layer where they don't affect each other?
I tried putting it in separate groups, but there is still spill over (bleed)

thanks again for all your videos. it seems like 3d text can't receive a shadow cast by an object or text layer that is closer to camera and light. 3d text also doesn't seem to be able to receive reflections. is this accurate, and have you found any work-arounds? for instance, i made the letter "l" 3d, rotated 90 on z axis, and it looks like a 3d version of a region you would see in the apple motion interface. then i added another 3d text layer up a few hundred pixels on z axis, but can't get the original rotated "l" to receive shadows or reflections. any advice very much appreciated
