2019 Seat Arona Review

Here AutoBears is reviewing the Seat Arona. The Spanish brands first small Crossover/SUV.
In a highly competitive segment including the Renault Kaptur and Nissan Juke, the little Arona is fighting with the big boys here. Starting at £17,145 the Arona isn't too much more than the Ibiza on which it's based. However for those with mobility problems the extra ride height will prove very beneficial.
Powered by a 1.0 3-cylinder TSI, 1.5 4-cylinder TSI or a 1.6 4-cylinder diesel, there's a strong choice of engines available although the higher powered 1.5 is only available on FR trim and upwards. I had the 1.0 TSI 95PS and boy what a surprise this engine is! Nippy, torquey and fun I was gobsmacked how it pulled. A real treat.
Ride and Handling really do impress as well.

Brilliant Brilliant Review! I bought a 1 year old 1.6 TDI on the basis of this review. And I was not dissapointed!
Well done.
You have the ability to describe, car reviews, in a very clear, understandable way.
SEAT should employ you as their Sales Exec!
Thanks.

Great review - so many reviews are in the top spec car, so really good to see one in the mid-range SE Technology.

Really enjoyed this review. My son has just ordered the Arona FR with 115bhp engine. Very reassuring to know that he's chosen well. One more subscriber !

Thinking of getting one of these, second hand. After watching this excellent review all doubts have been removed. Someone said it’s a “Jack of all trades”, I can see why now. Great job, have subbed👍

I have the Xperience with the manual 6 speed gearbox and 1.0l 115PS engine. It is a brilliant car, all you say and more. The Xperience gives you the added extras you mentioned. It really is an undiscovered gem in its class of small SUVs as there are, even now at the end of 2020, very few around.

Funnily enough on the armrest, an Ibiza armrest will fit in this car also will fit just fine, though they are in the £130 range

Really enjoyed your review of the Seat Arona, you say it as you see and feel it
As im changing my car come the end of the year, i now think having watched your video, i will have to give serious thought to buying this car.
The main reason being, is that i need an Suv.or a Cuv.type car, as being pensioner's, my wife and i find it difficult to enter and exit an ordinary vehicle, so having been impressed by your do and dont's of this small car.
Ive a feeling it suit our needs, as i mostly do very low mileage city driving, and on an occasional duel carriage way jaunt, every now and again. Thank you for your explicit review and honesty re this car.👍🤘

First time viewer. Brilliant review as I'm thinking of downsizing from a Hyundai Tucson. The new Skoda Kamiq also looks good.

I think this is the best ever review I have watched on cars and the models I am currently busy taking on my radar to lease or buy very soon this year and given issues most designers of such cars in such segments forget to pay attention to, being that drivers are women too and not every woman is like whatever, but some are critical too, and let me be honest, I understand zero of the engine and all that, but as a woman who dresses up and is in heels and likes to at times drive long distances visiting places and friends in France or Austria and Italy, where roads can be very different or difficult to manouvre as well as bumpy or high and low and hilly etc etc, parking in small villages or spaces in also bigger cities, all things to consider when willing to drive in both style as comfortably fun while having a trustworthy engine that is intuïtive, responsive and fast as well, and trust me, we do forget things when driving and having our brains going a thousand places and multitasking too... for me, I wish this car had more plush and lush interieur and feeling to it, especially the design of the dashboard and the arm rest which isn't there, but I think all these will be dealt with by Seat in future models of Arona which is why I can rely on getting me a private lease of a full option model and trust on the upgraded improved future model.... I just hope that automobile designers for once better listen and look at women and what is important to add or adjust in cars...like the small detail of glove box in Volvo XC40 to hang a small bag or handbag to, or a better bigger arm rest and vanity mirrors of better light and visibility both front and back seats and a small compartment for scarfs and such, cause being also a woman in certain Muslim nations, some of us need to have our abbaya or designer or any other scarfs beautifully stored and always with us, but I can never find a place to have those and must always reach on the back seat and anyhow, this is a female friendly car so far but could be a whole lot better .... otherwise we must continue to look for German or certain British cars that do provide a lot more space and features for women to drive both funnily fun and stylishly good as well as safe and sound

Excellent review, as others have commented - and you’ve got me sold on the Arona. Liking the colour scheme too, but will be going for the 115psi model with DSG. Many thanks. 😀👍🏼
