There was no other evidence pointing to anybody other than him. Random crimes leave random evidence. I think his wife wanted out and she confided in her son.
He handled it poorly.

Knew it wouldn't be hung jury because only 6% of trials are hung jury. Judges don't like hung juries

The wife wasn’t even living there, as they were separated. Alex had phoned her to come to dinner so that both she and Paul would be there at the same time.

If he wasn’t convicted for the murders, the way he wears that polo shirt in his mug shot deserves life in prison for sure

He was at scene at time of death. They were shot with his weapons. He fled the scene right after. Lied about it while trying to confuse the investigation at every turn. Manipulating cell phones . What else do you need.

His eyes barely blinked…until the word “guilty”, then, it’s a wonder he didn’t start fluttering up like a bird because they were blinking 100 times a second. He was still hoping he had convinced people, because that has been his entire life, until that moment.

If that Snapchat video hadn't been discovered on Paul's phone he never would have told the truth...we all reap what we sow 😐✌🏾

Kind of reminds me of an episode of Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman full of eggs, chickens, and Papaws. Oh, lord….rural southerns! And ironically South Carolinians, particularly those from Charleston, make fun of the midwesterners that go on vacation there.

They were ready to go home! Prosecution took 3 weeks, defense took less than one week. Part of the state’s strategy was to prolong the trial so by the time deliberations started the jurors swiftly returned a verdict so they could go home.

There was doubt but it was not reasonable
