Europefiction Summercamp 2019

Europefiction is an art project that connects young people from different European countries. Youth groups from five theatres in the ruhr area each enter in a collaboration with an other theatre from different European cities.

Europefiction creates a dialogue about the future of Europe under the leading question: What kind of Europe would you like to live in and what are you willing to do for it?
Within the collaboration participants from 16-23 years from all cultural backgrounds are empowered to create concepts for a socio-economic future. With the tool of art, they rephrase and challenge existing models.

The European partners invite the German groups during the year and for the annual summercamps the partners return the visit and come to Germany. Performances, workshops, debates and parties determined the living together for ten days during the summercamp in 2019 at Consol Theater Gelsenkirchen.
