Mosses are small non-flowering and non-woody plants which produce spores and have stems and leaves, but unlike most other plants, mosses don’t have roots. Instead of roots they have rhizoids, which are small hairlike structures. Their main function is anchoring the plant to rock, bark or soil. Mosses function like sponges, using their capillary spaces to absorb and hang on to water

To better understand the light response when it hit the moss surface, I captured it in different magnification levels. This time I decided to push magnification boundaries and get to the x1000 magnification level.
This moss clearly absorbs most of the light, therefore is very dark. It's average measured albedo value in 0-255 PBR range and sRGB is R62, G62, B44 with relative luminance level at 0.238.

Cheers and till the next one!
