Dealership Life - A Slow Saturday

Follow me during my Saturday as a Chevrolet Salesman. I started here back in 2005 and built a nice career for myself. Today was an example of how slow the car business can be sometimes. I also update you on the past couple days that were much busier for me.

Would you be able to show more of the car detailing process? I was kinda surprised to see the white Corvette getting cleaned up with a wash bucket and microfiber pad on a pole a couple videos back. Is that the typical way they get washed? I wash my car by hand but thought why don’t I do it that way lol. Or do you guys have a car wash too and then finish it by hand/ polish, ect? Thanks.

How do you make commissions? Some salesmen in my area claim they don't make commissions on cars sold, but they have a flat salary... Is that true? Also, what if you go to a dealer and want to switch salespersons from the first one you met, is that awkward? And if you buy a car from the 2nd guy, does the 1st guy get a cut of the commission? Also, are dealerships okay with people charging their car and waiting/hanging out in the lounge area, knowing they are not there to buy a car? Maybe you can do a video FAQ on these various topic?

Dave. How come you never talk about the Malibu and new RS. I’d love to see some info on that. I was hoping to see the RS as a package but Chevy messed up and made it it’s own model. Argh.

Sorry to bust your bubble but in 15 years, most dealerships that sell vehicles will be dead. E-commerce is the future.
