It's in the Bible too, "ask and it shall be given onto you, seek and ye shall find" means exactly that. Neville grasped it between the lines and not just literally like most people would do. The bible is filled with esoteric concept and universal truths. I'm no a Christian myself but I find lots of inspiration with it.
