Chicago Bulls believe Lonzo Ball may never play again

Chicago Bulls privately believe that Lonzo Ball may never play again. Lonzo missed nearly all of the 2023 season due to injury and knee soreness that then turned into surgery that took him out for the remainder of the regular season. Lonzo Ball has been highly touted as a top young player in the league for years but as also been unable to stay on the court due to his health and numerous injuries. If Lonzo isn't able to play again then this is a sad loss for not only fans and the NBA but his family as well.

As a Bulls fan and a basketball fan in general, this one hurts. It gives me flashbacks of Derrick Rose
The same situation, when our PG went out, we were the number 1 seed in the East and people respected us as a team. It just sucks because he improved so damn much as a player. ESPECIALLY as a 3 point shooter. Shooting 42 percent on like 8 threes a game is ELITE. Just hope he's alright. Even if he ain't on my team

Yea when it comes to your knees, you only get a certain amount of cartilage in your lifetime. Once that cartilage is gone, its wraps for your athleticism. It's really sad, because it would have been nice to see how more he could grow as he matured in the league. Praying that he can somehow comeback to the game.

People saying it has nothing to do with the shoes don’t understand how vital it is to know your feet and have the best technology at your disposal.

I went two months with a shoe I thought was comparable to the normal work shoes I have. Seven months later my knee is still hurting and my back has been dying. Changing back to my old shoes has alleviated the pain but those two months of wearing a different brand have stopped me cold. Either way, hopefully he can get back soon because I know how much it sucks to have your dream taken away like that

This reminds me of when Brandon Roy got hurt Lonzo and Roy were two different players but to see two players with so much potential just crash and breakdown due to injuries is heartbreaking as a basketball fan

He isn’t a scorer 12 6 6 is a very good player and he plays defense. I prefer a 12 scored who plays defense over a 20 point scorer who doesn’t.

I feel bad for Lonzo. He was just starting to get this shot well too. The last 2 seasons he has shot 38% from 3 on 7.3 attempts per-game which is elite for just a non-all star PG. Sucks.

This situation has some connections to the Hockey player Gabe Landeskog, who has also had complications with cartilage in his knee and has undergone the same surgery that Lonzo has had. This is a very sad thing that's going on for both Lonzo and Gabe. I hope they both can live healthy lives if either one cannot continue to play.

I just hope he can play again. After seeing him improve to be a good PG it’s sad to see his career most likely cut short. But I do think he will do everything he can to come back in any shape or form
