Keynote by Esther Duflo on the role of the Private Sector in reducing poverty and achieving Sustainable Development. The keynote address is for "Future of Work and Skills for Emerging Markets", a conference on evidence-based approaches and partnerships for worker wellbeing and inclusive Private Sector Growth.

This session was structured as a fireside conversation with Professor Esther Duflo, Abdul Latif Jameel Professor of Poverty Alleviation and
Development Economics, MIT and co-founder, J-PAL.

Hosted at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and supported by leading research groups, this conference offered a platform for participants to engage with cutting-edge social science research from a variety of country and sector contexts and to discover the importance of using evidence-based approaches at the intersection of human capital development and economic opportunity in today’s changing world. Moreover, in a setting designed to encourage crossing silos, knowledge and practitioner leaders, such as policymakers and business decision-makers, will speak alongside one another.
