Freelancing in 2024? Should You Become a Freelancer?

In this video I share my experience as a freelance programmer and I give some tips and advice for those looking to become a freelancer in 2024.

Freelancers make up 75,000,000 people in the United States Workforce and that number is growing.

There are a few things you need to consider if you're looking to become a freelancer in 2024 and my goal is to give you a general understanding of the pros and cons of freelancing.

I don't try and paint a pretty picture by saying you'll find success immediately but I also don't try to make it seem like it's impossible. I simply share some important information that you need to consider when thinking about becoming a freelancer.

Great video!! I have a question. How would you recommend someone get started freelancing who is working 9-5 as a developer yet doesn't have a ton of freelancing experience? For context lets say they want to work in the WordPress eco system as a theme developer yet only built a couple of themes?

I think we need to start focusing on a normal job :) Development is dying out of fear of AI which is stupid, Everybody thinks that there is no point in learning anymore since AI will do it for us anyway!
