I recently purchased the beautiful red “chrome” edition ex demo ST900. It’s awesome, has all the power I need for real world riding, endless torque and it must have one of the best sounding standard exhaust notes going. A real thumping old school twin soundtrack. Add to this the name and build quality and attention to detail and honestly. It’s a blooming brilliant bike!!

Had one for 3yrs, was an excellent bike, no issues. Just fancied a change, bought the triumph trident 660. Was and am impressed with both. 👍

I have to say that Triumph is knocking it out of the park with their retro style classic bikes. I love the Bonneville Speedmaster in that range. Such a great bike, although it's £14k.

I've got a 2019 street twin and love it, it's got all the power for everyday riding

My 2022 Street Twin is super smooth and so flickable- just love the thing.

I've been debating between the Speed 400 and the Speed Twin 900. This video helped me make up my mind. It's the Speed Twin 900. When you short shift it the exhaust note is just right. I thought about the Speed 400 and it is half the cost, and I wondered if the Speed Twin 900 was worth trice the money. The exhaust note to me is worth it. Loved it. Thank you for this video.

Atm just selling my 1994 Triumph Trophy, at 71 I need something lighter, more agile, so viewed the Stealth Edition yesterday, this is helpful, just looking around for the best deal atm.
Thanks.

On old 2017 I'm getting minimum 150 max 205 (drive really slow) and economi 180miles per tank, on dash would be left 1 bar.

I have one of these( chrome edition in hopper red) and I love it for all the reasons you mention. The standard seat looks great and is very comfortable and being a 'shorty' the 765mm seat height is perfect for me. Could you give me the name/ model of the soft panniers and frames fitted to the test bike please. They look great and are just what I'm looking for. Many thanks for your review!

Wow, those English roads! Love 'em! We lived in England for 5 years, came back to the US at the end of 2020. Whenever I was out driving away from town, I always thought the roads would be a dream for motorcycling. Sadly, we have no such roads here in the Chicago suburbs.
I went to our local dealer and sat on a Speed Twin 900 today. I may just get me one come spring, it was very nice.

I have done 5, 700 miles on my 2023 Speed Twin 900, including France, Belgium, Germany and Scotland. It has all the power you need to go any distance on the autoroutes and autobahns. I was worried about the 12 litre (2 2/3 gallons) tank, but average fuel consumption is 71 mpg, giving you around 190 miles to dry, touring. After the fuel light comes on, you’ve still got 3 litres (2/3 gallon, 45/50 or so miles). He doesn’t seem to realise that the Speed Twin 900 isn’t an alternative to the Street Twin, it has replaced it. Also, he doesn’t understand that all the information including rpm and clock are there by scrolling the screen. I have fitted a separate handlebar clock though, to be permanently visible. The standard seat is very comfortable, why anyone would pay extra for the uncomfortable quilted thing, I can’t understand.
The most surprising thing is that when I did an IAM track day at Mallory Park recently, even though on paper my bike wasn’t the fastest in my group, I was amazed how quick you could get it around the circuit and by the end of the day, I was lapping faster than all the others. The spread of power and handling on track are excellent and brakes more than good enough. I’ve been riding since 1963 and this is my first Triumph, but it is excellent.

Good review. I've got the 2019/20 street twin and yes, same spec as the one you're riding. Great bike.

That's a bike you want to cruise around with at low medium speeds on twisty roads enjoying its torque and sound. If you start reving it you will soon get bored and want to move somewhere else as the 1200 Speed Twin for example. Just a tip since I owned one for a year.

Great review. I have a 2020 model in the 'Iron stone ' paint finish. I absolutely love the bike. Only let down by the awful Pirelli phantom tyres. Upon reading comments in various forums most folk who have changed the tyres say that it's a ' day and night ' transformation.

Nice vid Alex. I’ve just chopped in my Ducati for one of these in Ironstone. Loving the relaxed lazy power. Plenty for going for it and easy in town. Did the little flyscreen help at all and what helmet are you wearing? and how are you finding it, comfort and noise. Cheers.

I’m planning to upgrade to the 1200, that additional power would be great for longer trip

I love Triumph’s lineup (especially the T100) but man those useless shorty-short front fenders on the Speed Twin… no good. Newer models also harder and more $ to de-cat, which is an essential mod IMO.

My nit-picks aside, absolutely great and gorgeous bike. The small windscreen looks really great with the single gauge. I think another UK channel had this exact loaner too, same setup.

Nice review. My indicator shows 150 miles to empty after a fill up, I'm averaging jyst over 70mpg.
