I attended Grand Canyon University and partook in their Master's Degree Program and Doctoral Degree Program from 2014 to 2020. I decided to part ways with the university for reasons I would describe as discrimination. Watch the video for a more in-depth analysis of my experiences.

I am a current student at gcu and unfortunately I do feel targeted by some teachers since I am hispanic and usual the only hispanic in most of my classes. but I need this degree so help me god I will get through this. Thank you for sharing

I graduated from GCU in the master's program. I did very well, realizing this was the beginning of the doctoral program and feeling overwhelmed by the instructor's bias, something we can see and feel. We just need a fair opportunity to display talent based on knowledge and comprehension, not race. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for posting this. I’m currently looking to transfer from ULL in Louisiana because of discrimination and lack of communication towards disabled veterans. I’ve also been discriminated against at other colleges because I’m Native American, so I’ve been doing extensive research on where I’ll transfer to. There were people at ULL that made me love it first and made me proud to go there (online) and I almost wanted to transfer to in-person, but there are too many red flags popping up in their system. GCU almost sold me with their marketing but I decided to check personal YouTube channels, thankfully.

Wow, thanks for sharing, bro. I'm a student right now and I'm keeping notes.

Sadly, I had the very same experience. I finished GCU with a EdS degree instead of a doctorate. I got tired of pouring out money for the mistakes they claimed I was making. Their doctorate program is extremely misleading. Just research your options and transfer to university with integrity in building student achievement for doctoral students.

That's crazy I have never put a picture up because of that. I hate we have to live like this. I am in my final class at GCU. I was thinking to get in the doctoral program there, but after watching this. I will be looking else where. Thanks.

I’m sorry this happened to you and hopefully you were able to involve a lawyer. I did sue a school for a situation and they had to pay my student debt off. I hope and pray you get justice.

As a concerned parent, I feel compelled to share my thoughts about my daughter’s transition into her freshman year at GCU. It has been a challenging time for her, and I can’t help but feel that the instructors are not making this journey any easier.

I never wanted to believe that she might be targeted, but I can't ignore the troubling signs. It’s disheartening to think that we are still facing limitations based on skin color. My daughter has been working incredibly hard to keep up with the rigorous standards set by her professors, yet it feels like her efforts are not being recognized or supported.

I stand with all of you who are advocating for change. This situation is truly unfortunate, and I hope we can address it together to ensure that every student receives the fair treatment they deserve. Thank you for sharing.

This happened to me. I slipped up in a DQ and said i was Haitian. The instructor started giving me a hard time saying i was missing this that and the third. Caught nasty attitudes with me when i kindly asked what exactly i was missing. I showed my counselor and she corrected that professor.

I’m from Saginaw, Michigan and I live in Glendale, Arizona. Congratulations on your AMAZING ACCOMPLISHMENT!! My goal is to get my Bachelor’s degree first and to get my Master’s degree in Psychology with an emphasis on Therapy (maybe it’s different). So what you saying is to only do online classes if I’m black, GOT IT.

Thanks for sharing. I will not be attending there for my masters. What a lot of people don't understand is that this is very common for professors to do it sad because people just want to further their education and get ahead

Never went to college there but I believe your story. I moved from the DMV area to Phoenix, AZ. I never felt so uncomfortable being a African American woman until I went there. I left after two years and will never go back.
