Making a beautiful coastal diorama: The Cove

We all need a little haven to return to again and again. This is mine - or a little version of it!

I've wanted to make a beautiful coastal diorama for some time. The Cove is what I came up with after about 6 hours of modelling. It's in a very miniature scale. I might get round to making one in HO scale at some point, but here I just wanted to build the entire scene in the space of a few centimetres.

Water effects are always fun to do, and this video will show you how I created model waves and surf. It will also show you my method for making a realistic beach.

I always enjoy making model rocks. You could adapt the techniques I used here for use in building rocks for wargaming terrain or model railways.

I hope you enjoy watching me making this realistic beach diorama.

In this video I use several products that were gifted to me to use in my videos:

Many of the materials and tools I use come with safety instructions. Please always read and follow these rather than simply copy what you see me or other people doing.

I have no idea how or why I got here but I not gonna complain. This was really calming and it looks so pretty! Also- "angel hairs" is such a nice name for something, I've never heard them be called that before

I was overloading on math homework and exercises in this first week of school to busy myself from loneliness after leaving my toxic fake friends, this caused me to have a huge migraine today and I’m already dealing with a rolled ankle and sore legs
I was feeling dizzy and wanting to go to bed but too tired to go to my room and instead watched this
Very relaxing and soothing to the eyes, thanks so much to this channel and other artists who calm and inspire us to cope through the making of art and recognise that our mental health is also important
Thanks for calming me down, thanks very very much 💕

My purpose in life is to find my paradise (aka my resting place) and this is exactly how I imagined it would look like.
Thank you for helping me "find" it and making me feel at peace.
