Buliding a Parcel Box // How to Receive a Package Without Touching It // Pandemic Box

Made a DIY online shopping drop off box for "no contact" deliveries. This is one way to receive small to medium packages. This project was built during the pandemic to avoid unnecessary COVID exposure and stay safe. Now we can receive packages without touching them. #DIYweekends​

Can I suggest an modification to your project. What if you built it into your wall and the access to the door is on the inside of your property. What do you think? So you dont have to come outside to collect your packages. Also it prevents access to any lock that is possible of being picked?

Finished product looks amazing. Looking to do the same! One thing I noticed tho is if someone really has the intent to get your stuff, they could just simply cut the cord that pulls the flap. I will sketch up something that keeps the flap horizontal and only goes down when the roof cover is closed.

Great video and nice place to start. There is a security flaw though, what if someone just cuts the rope? I think that maybe it should be a cable that goes through the top and bottom boards so it can't be cut or removed or did I miss something?

This is tall enough that I could have it behind my fence if it had rear access door. It would be perfect for my deliveries. Now, how do I get one! I’m a 74 year old female with no carpentry skills. Yikes! I need this!!! Genius! I’ve been searching the internet for something to purchase but found nothing like this!
