I'm 64 years old and have enjoyed *every* series in the Star Trek franchise, from TOS to Discovery; and the movies. Sure, they each had their problems/quirks/"wrongs", but I found that if I restricted my thinking to 'this' iteration/chapter of the overall Trek story then I enjoyed it more.

Problem with this show is the crew for me. There's no formality and etiquette within the crew. They just seem like a bunch of KFC employees at the end of their Friday shift, but they're in charge of a Starship. It was exactly the same problem with Mass Effect Andromeda. If the characters can't convince you that they're good at their jobs and (more importantly) they take it seriously then I simply can't get behind them.

This version of Spock is... uhh. The words he speaks is sort of like what TOS Spock would have said, but the manner of how he speaks it isn’t really Spock-ish. Also why beard.

Crap compared to NG, DS9 and Voyager. Spock's character is totally wrong. Star Trek crew in suit armor is nonsense. This is not a Star Trek, this another series. I rather watch again the old series!

STD has an epic element to it, Orville doesn't, one has more humor of course, the other has a bigger budget, I enjoy both

I do enjoy Discovery, but I still have no idea what the point in making it a prequel is... Pretty much every problem it has could be solved by setting it a few decades after the TNG era!

Pike is about the only thing I like about this Trailer.

Oh god, I don't know yet how they'll do it, but they will make him immoral and evil at some point during this season. I just know they will.
